Negative Mutation lessoned by the Catabolic and Anabolic Split?
Before, I've suggested that a positive mutation on the Catabolic side might spur the Anabolic side to catch up - or vice versa - a positive mutation on the Anabolic side might spur the Catabolic side to catch up. Thus for every positive mutation you have two improvements, and a sort of motor to push natural selection. We have the term 'arms... more »

We carry more than just a single mitochondrial genome type.
Mitochondrial genomes are not uniform across cells of the body as previously believed, but vary between different tissue types, according to a study published online today (March 3) in Nature. The Scientist: Surprising mtDNA diversity: [link]... more »

Sleep - many new ideas
By understanding why we sleep, we may resolve many chronic health and psychological problems. Many of these problems may be directly connected to the two transition points of a daily digestion cycle - wake to sleep, and sleep to wake. Two Major Problem Areas in Health
Two major problem areas. There may be a lot of unresolved health problems involved in the daily metabolic cycle. This post suggests some brand new ideas. Start with the daily metabolic cycle. That sets up 2 phases. Catabolic Phase is mostly during the waking hours. Catabolic phase is for taking in food and digesting it.... more »

Predict evolution
I am not really happy with the way human teeth has evolved..Tooth decay is such a widespread problem and I am no exception. Maybe it is because we are eating a lot of stuff which we are not supposed to eat. But was it possible for the teeth to evolve in such a way that it is made of ceramic(Or any other decay resistant stuff for that matter)... more »
