i thought Tokyo was good, but after what James said,i think i will re-think traveling there with my proudly Kenyan passport.
IBut for Egypt, i still wonder why black africans cheers their football. as long as they are concerned, thy think they are doing Africa a favour by playing as Africans. I wonder why the Egyptian Embassies all over africa then dont email the names of the poeple who have received visas from them so the stupid immigration officer who speak bad english can just retrieve that informatuon instead of detaining people for hours.

Ed, James, I share your sentiments. Cairo airport is one of the worst
airports to fly through. After 2 experiences similar to yours, I
decided always to avoid that airport and plan my routes through other
points.You get bundled in a waiting roon with several other desperate
travellers, they offer no information, the arabic speaking border

Dennis,

I am sorry, It's not only egypt that does that, many coutries in the world treat African the same "BAD". I am based in California and used to travel a lot in Asian countries and Europe.
These people thinks we are thiefs or very poor and we are coming to stay. Simple that is the way people see us, unfortunate. In my case it become so bad and in fact I slept in the Cairo Airport once since my kenyans passport had only six month left to expire. They refused to let me in.I have been detained in Tokyo for hours even though we had office there!!! I wasted so much of my company's time, they had a hired an agent to run around and get me visas every time I had to leave the country. My boss become do upset, and I could see why, that they gave me an ultimatum to file to become a US citizen or lose my job!!! I have since gone back to egypt and other coutries with US passport and it's a good feeling. Even in Kenya they treat you better than kenyans with US passport. It's very nice to be treated as a human being. I am sorry, hang in there, "THINGS GOING TO GET BETTER"
